Getting to the Isle of Raasay is easier than you might think. On the Isle of Skye, continue your journey to Sconser Ferry Terminal. Here, step aboard the CalMac ferry and enjoy a scenic 25-minute sailing across to Raasay.
Once you reach the Isle of Raasay, the distillery is less than half a mile from the pier and it is well-placed for exploring the island’s breathtaking natural beauty and historic sites, including the iconic Dun Caan mountain, Brochel Castle and enigmatic Calum’s Road.

What an incredible, and incredibly special place.
Beautiful location and establishment Great amenities. Extremely attentive and friendly staff. The included whiskey tour was exceptional. Wish we had stayed more than 1 night.
We arrived via the ferry from Sconser and had a fantastic experience at the distillery. It was relaxed but also very well organised, the staff so friendly and enthusiastic. Our accommodation was perfect. Great views over to Skye giving an atmospheric visit as the weather was being a tad moody. Breakfast couldn’t be faulted – taken in a room with stunning views. We had a tour of the distillery before we departed back to Skye given by Steve which was also excellent. So thanks to the team, we had a fantastic time and will spread the word to family & friends to come and see for themselves.
Wonderful staff in a tranquil setting!
Absolutely spectacular. The distillery tour was good, if you have done one before it will be as expected, a quick in depth look into their production. The tasting was great, the hostess did an amazing job explaining the distillery and its history. I highly recommend renting a room and staying the night. The dinner was exquisite. The chef loves what he does and the venison and lobster were perfection.
Stayed a night here on our honeymoon. What can I say? Wow. The tour was fantastic. The views are out of this world, the whisky honesty bar (including component parts to the blends) and lounge where top shelf. Breakfast was incredible and the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming and knowledgeable. A very special place.
Amazing little lodging that is part of a distillery. The room was really nice and cozy and the staff was amazing. I highly recommend this place is you are needing an inexpensive, laid-back location for trips to the Isle of Skye and the associated areas.
The island of Raasay is the real gem here. Unbelievably beautiful. The distillery is grand. The whiskey is one of the very best in the land that makes the finest whiskey in the world. And the views from its front door are to die for.
This unique location is romantic and beautiful. From the Distillery Inn at historic Borodale House, the views of the Isle of Skye are constantly changing as clouds shift, concealing and revealing the mountains across the narrow waterway. The small staff is devoted and dedicated to their guests, especially Chloe and Ethan. Breakfasts and dinners were delicious, thanks to Chef Chris. For variety, the Raasay House Restaurant is less than 10 minutes away by foot (look for the native hares on the grounds; we saw 5 one night). The Isle of Raasay distillery tour includes tastings of the exceptional whiskey and excellent gin. Jo was a perfect guide for novices and experienced drinkers alike. Our 4-day stay was perfect! Highly recommended.

The Isle of Raasay, an island rooted in centuries of illicit distilling, provides the ingredients for the perfect dram. Our lightly peated Isle of Raasay Single Malt is an expression of this magical place.
Our zesty, smooth and refreshing Isle of Raasay Gin combines an exciting selection of ten Raasay and traditional botanicals, including Raasay juniper, sweet orange peel, rhubarb root and our double distilled spirit.
