Join Lothian Gaelic Choir and friends for their very special 40th Anniversary musical celebration in collaboration with Isle of Raasay Distillery.
On Saturday 18 April 2026, sail to Raasay from Skye on the 10am/1020 morning boat from Sconser for a musical performance at 1130am at the Isle of Raasay Community Hall. Hosted by renowned Gaelic singer Dr Alasdair Whyte, Lothian Gaelic choir will perform Gaelic songs led by conductor Angus Tully, alongside National Mòd Gaelic group champions Na Seudan.
In honour of Raasay and Skye Gaelic poet Sorley Maclean, there will be a book presentation of Acair’s ‘Na Bhriathran Fhèin’ by Ishbel Maclean with co-authors, Maclean family songs and poetry reading, and the choir will perform Maclean’s ‘Camhanaich’ with Alasdair Whyte.
