Experience an in-depth look into the people, passion, and processes that make our Isle of Raasay Single Malt and Isle of Raasay Gin so unique.
Beginning in our contemporary tasting room within our Visitor Centre, our friendly tour guides will share Raasay’s rich history, the challenges and triumphs of establishing such a remote distillery, and the unique characteristics that make Raasay whisky stand out.
You’ll then be walked into the our distillery to understand how our spirits are made, before heading back to the tasting room to finish with a tasting of three of our Raasay Spirits, deliciously paired with bespoke chocolates from local chocolatier, Chocolates of Glenshiel. This tasting will include an exclusive distillery-only whisky that can be purchased afterwards in our gift shop.
The Hebridean Whisky Festival is back for 2024 and we are really looking forward to hosting this auspicious event again at our distillery on the Isle of Raasay, a true gem of the Inner Hebrides. We invite you to join us on the 13th September as we celebrate the craftsmanship, heritage, and flavours that make our whisky so special. As part of this year’s festivities we have two exclusive Raasay x HWF tours to take guests into our world, all set against the stunning backdrop of Raasay’s rugged landscapes and breathtaking vistas.
Whether you are a seasoned connoisseur or a curious newcomer, we hope this festival will deepen your appreciation for the time-honoured techniques and innovation that define Hebridean whisky. Beginning with a warm welcome in our contemporary tasting room within our Visitor Centre, our friendly tour guides will share Raasay’s rich history, the challenges and triumphs of establishing such a remote distillery, and the unique characteristics that make Raasay whisky stand out.
You’ll then be walked into the beating heart of our whisky production to understand how our spirits are made, before heading back to the tasting room to finish the experience with three of our Raasay Spirits, expertly paired with bespoke chocolates from local chocolatier, Chocolates of Glenshiel. This tasting includes an exclusive dram, only available to purchase at the distillery gift shop.
