We are delighted to be recognised as Best Visitor Attraction at this year’s Highlands and Islands Tourism Awards (HITA), celebrating the very best of tourism in what Lonely Planet describes as one of the top 10 destinations in the world!
We are grateful to everyone that has visited the distillery this year, our busiest year yet, which also saw the launch of our first legal spirit, the Isle of Raasay Gin. Bottling our gin alongside the construction of two new warehouses on the island puts us in good stead for the release of our inaugural Isle of Raasay Single Malt Scotch whisky next year.
It’s a reflection of the great team we have on Raasay that this is our third award this year, having also won Tourism Destination of the Year at the inaugural Scottish Whisky Awards and the Gold Laurel at the Scottish Hotel Awards.
We hope these awards will encourage even more people to come and experience Raasay to get a sense of our fascinating history and exciting future.
