Previewing the First Single Malt

Earlier this year we we were privileged to welcome whisky writer Dave Broom back to Raasay. After opening the distillery in 2017 and sampling our developing spirit in 2018, this year we were able to visit our new dunnage warehouses to review the Isle of Raasay Single Malt Inaugural Release spirit – our limited-edition first release drawn from a small selection of casks.

The inaugural Isle of Raasay Single Malt Inaugural Release is lightly peated with rich dark fruit flavours, matured in first fill Tennessee Whiskey and finished in first fill Bordeaux red wine casks and finished in high quality red wine casks. 

Every drop of our single malt Scotch whisky is matured in the heady Isle of Raasay air and we are now busy bottling the first legal Scotch whisky from the Isle of Raasay to be delivered in time for Christmas this year.
