As we conclude our first full year with Scotch whisky here on the Isle of Raasay, we’re reflecting on another unforgettable chapter in our journey. This year many of you tasted our whisky for the first time, returned or visited us on the island in record numbers or joined us from afar in one of our award-winning virtual tastings.
With so many milestones over the last twelve months, we decided to sum up all our achievements this year in our first #RaasayWrapped!
Every drop of spirit we produce is distilled, matured and bottled here on the Isle of Raasay, and this year was no different. We’ve been patiently filling casks and rolling them down to our island warehouses for a while now, and in 2021 we had the chance to finally sample the results of all our hard work so far.
CASKS FILLED
All of our casks are matured in our island warehouses next to the distillery, maximising the influence of the Hebridean climate on your single malt Scotch whisky.
We began doing our award-winning virtual tastings in 2020, and since then we’ve gone from strength to strength. A big thank you to everyone who has joined and enjoyed them throughout the year.

We were delighted to welcome visitors back to our shores this year, our historic first year with whisky. All of you who stayed in our hotel, took our tours or bought a dram at our bar – thank you.

We’ve always loved welcoming guests to our unique whisky hotel, and this year was no different. Not to mention, any person who stays the night in our award-winning accommodation adds 0.62% to our island population!
