The Isle of Raasay Single Malt, released in 2021, is matured in six signature casks as part of our unique six-part maturation.
Two Isle of Raasay spirits peated and unpeated mature separately in Chinkapin oak, Bordeaux red wine, and Rye Whiskey casks. A first in Scotch whisky history.
Our carefully crafted recipe brings together six casks, each with their own distinctive style and character, to create the perfect lightly peated single malt with rich dark fruit flavours.
Every drop of spirit is distilled, matured and bottled on the island using water from our well. With long fermentations of up to 118 hours (5 days) our single malt whisky possesses a unique sweet blackberry characteristic before it even touches the oak of the cask.
The Isle of Raasay, an island rooted in centuries of illicit distilling, provides the ingredients for the perfect dram. Our lightly peated Isle of Raasay Single Malt is an expression of this magical place.
