Brand new distillery, started September 2017 so nothing of their own product yet. They sell whiskies distilled elsewhere to their requirements.
Guys on the front desk were very nice, the tour was very enjoyable, learning everything from the history of the land and building prior to becoming a distillery, the smoking of the barley with peat, through the distilling process up to final casking, ending with a tasting of Raasay While We Wait.
If my friend was interested I would definately have gone halves with him to purchase a cask to be bottled in 10 years time.
We were shown a room that you can stay in, either one night free for being a member or via their own website or booking.com they were very well appointed, the room we saw had sea views and stunning views of the Cuillin hills on the Isle of Skye.
Definately worth a visit, if you are anywhere near, do it, you won’t be disappointed.
