More than a Distillery Tour!
Only 5 mins walk from the ferry terminal so no need to take the car.
There is a warm welcome from local staff who are keen to show off the latest attraction to the Island.
This is not just for whiskey lovers, it is ideal way to find out a bit about the history of the island and really good for architecture lovers.
Without giving too much away the tour starts off with a brief history about the island and the building before moving into a nice shiny contained distillery with magnificent views.
Comparing with previous distillery tours it was interesting to hear about a more modern approach and the taste that they are looking to create for their first batch.
Finishes off with a tasting of R & B’s ‘while we wait’ range and The Tweedale where it all originated from….
All importantly you take buy a bottle to take home with a decent range of merchandise.
