We stayed two nights at the Isle of Raasay Distillery and were completely charmed by the friendliness of the staff, the beauty of the locale, and the power of the local history. We much appreciated the upgrade of our room and the delightful distillery tour. Highly recommended. Calum was memorable in his erudition concerning local tradition, including his grandfather’s special history. Thanks to his enthusiasm we drove to the end of the island, on frightfully narrow roads, overlooking superb sea vistas, arriving at the ruins of Brochel Castle and the monument to the unforgettable Calum’s Road, one of the quietly most moving sites I’ve ever visited in traveling to many countries around the world. We will long cherish the memory of our visit to Raasay Island Distillery and hope to return again soon.
