We are excited to share the magic of our Hebridean islands this May with the arrival of the first ever Hebridean Whisky Festival featuring Torabhaig, Talisker, Isle of Raasay and Isle of Harris distilleries. Running from 21-24 May, this new festival will showcase the best of island life on Skye, Raasay and Harris through special events, performances and distillery tours.
Discover Raasay’s Casks
On Raasay we will officially launch our new Warehouse Tour on Thursday 23rd May, taking all distillery tours up to our warehouse behind the distillery throughout the day. Here you can experience the wonderful aroma of 1,300 casks as you gaze out over the sound of Raasay to Skye’s spectacular Cuillin mountain range.
As part of our Raasay Day, during all distillery tours we will be offering special cask samples of our Raasay spirit that is maturing in our island warehouse. This is an exclusive on the day chance to sample spirit from our casks on their journey to becoming the first Isle of Raasay single malt.
The Hebridean Whisky Festival kicks off on Tuesday 21st at Torabhaig, then moves to Talisker on 22nd, Isle of Raasay on 23rd and Harris on Friday 24th finishing at Sligachan Hotel on Skye with the free to attend Big Day at Slig on Saturday 25th May. Here all four distilleries will come together in one place for a day of whisky tastings, Hebridean Whisky cocktails, distillery vehicles, cask displays, craft ales and a visit from the Isle of Skye pipe band. Come and try all the spirits, as well as other local brews from the Cuillin Brewery, sweet treats from the Chocolates of Glenshiel and delicacies from the Skye Smokehouse. The festival will conclude in true Hebridean style with a ceilidh into the night at the Sligachan Hotel. Contact all distilleries direct for details of events and times.
What to Expect on the Day
- Tours will be running between 10am and 5pm, bookable online, and will all include a trip to our warehouse.
- All tours will also include the option of an exclusive cask sample of our Raasay spirit.

Getting to Raasay Distillery
Getting to Raasay is easier than you might think. On the Isle of Skye continue your journey to the ferry terminal at Sconser. Here you step aboard the CalMac ferry and enjoy the scenic 25-minute sail across to Raasay. Our distillery is less than a 5 minute walk from the ferry terminal.
