Please take time out of your Skye visit to stay overnight at the Raasay Distillery accommodation because it is fantastic. We stayed in sept 2022, in room 1 , with views all the way to the Cuillins. We had exceptional comfort as the room was appointed to a high standard with “oh so soft” melt into bed after a fabulous whisky, Gin and chocolate tasting. We used the bar area for a post tour drink before an absolutely delicious meal in the distillery restaurant . Then we relaxed in the private accommodation lounge with views watching the ferry between the island and Skye, and the sun lighting up the magnificent Cuillins before retiring to our room. A complimentary half bottle of Raasay whiskey was in our room and we sank into a very sound sleep . Hastened, I must add, by a 21 mile cycle in the morning of the same day to Callum’s road….please don’t miss visiting this as the views, once again are exceptional. Our personal thanks go to Chloe on reception and shop, Steve on the tour , who was so interesting on the history of the distillery , and the lovely lady on the bar (who’s name apologetically I forget , maybe due to Gin and whisky consumption) …we would highly recommend an overnight experience after the tasting as you do not want the ambience and splendid comfort that all the staff go out of their way to provide, to pass you by. Many thanks also to Ethan serving our meal and the lovely lady serving us breakfast next morning. Slainte Mhath!
