The magical Island of Raasay lies off the West coast of Scotland in the Inner Hebrides, separated from the Isle of Skye by a short 25-minute ferry journey. We know that many of you may be planning a long-overdue visit to our shores this year, so we’re launching a new campaign ‘Visit Raasay’ which is dedicated to visiting and exploring our magical island. From the best walks and sights around the Isle of Raasay, to the rich history and culture of our small Hebridean island.
We’ve curated a wide range of blogs, articles and guides all about getting the most out of your visit to the Isle of Raasay. With the most captivating views of surrounding islands, our rich history and top sites to see, you’re guaranteed to find something that suits you when you visit Raasay Island!
With regular ferry sailings from the Isle of Skye seven days a week, the Isle of Raasay is one of Scotland’s most accessible islands. Step aboard CalMac’s hybrid ferry in Sconser and enjoy a scenic 25 minute sailing over to Raasay looking across the Sound of Raasay and Cuillin mountains.

This year, we are making major improvements to our visitor centre and accommodation, including adding a restaurant. Construction work will be ongoing at the distillery until approximately April 2022. We have temporary arrangements in place for our distillery tours and shop and we aim to minimise any disruption caused during your visit.
