Our special release is a demonstration of our desire to push the boundaries of Raasay single malt flavour further and to give you a taste of something different to our signature distillery style.
Our first ever sherry cask single malt, matured first in the strong foundations of our ex-rye whiskey casks and finished in a combination of ex-Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry quarter casks, this whisky boasts hints of peppery spice, almond, nuts and sweet fruit.

While talents of each and everyone in the Isle of Raasay community may vary, they are all connected by their strong passion for their homeland and forward-thinking ideas which have contributed to the success and prosperity of the Island.
In the first edition, we focus on our production and specifically the innovative processes that have been collaboratively developed by members of our team and local Raasay farmers who, in 2017, set out on a mission to grow barley on the island for the first time in 40 years.

This year, we are making major improvements to our visitor centre and accommodation, including adding a restaurant. Construction work will be ongoing at the distillery until approximately July 2022. We have temporary arrangements in place for our distillery tours and shop and we aim to minimise any disruption caused during your visit.
