What if instead of just drinking and reading about whisky, you could actually make it yourself? Welcome to The Raasay Way Whisky Experience, our most in-depth and immersive whisky offering yet. We’re opening our doors to the most dedicated whisky fanatics, inviting you to live and breathe the life of a distiller for an unforgettable stay at our distillery.  Over two intensive nights, you won’t just observe—you’ll get your hands dirty, from setting grist ratios and running the mash tun, to charging the stills and determining spirit cuts. 

This unique experience is priced at £1500 per person, for a 2 night stay and bookings are available for the following dates.

Stay In Na Bothain

For an adventure unlike any other, there is no better place to stay than Na Bothain (The Bothies in Gaelic). As part of The Raasay Way Whisky Experience, you’ll get a two-night stay in Na Bothain, our new-for-2025 luxury accommodation.

Tucked into the distillery’s breathtaking views and surroundings, each Bothan offers sleek, yet cosy interiors and floor-to-ceiling windows that provide unparalleled views of the island’s wild beauty. Guests can also expect handcrafted Hebridean textiles, luxury bed linen and towels, island-inspired artwork, a few hidden details for the curious and of course, some Raasay whisky too…

Whisky Lounge & Bar

Available During Your Stay

Guests staying in Borodale House and Na Bothain can enjoy our residents lounge on the ground floor with a fully stocked honesty bar including our Raasay Spirits, local beers and spirits, artisan wines, and hot drinks.

Sample the delights of our Raasay Single Malt or Raasay Gin by the fire while swapping stories with new friends from your day’s travels around Raasay or the neighbouring Isle of Skye.

For those cold and winter like days, reading materials and games are also available, with free WiFi for Slàinte Club members throughout the building.

Our 5 star visitor centre with guided whisky & gin toursgift shop and tasting & cocktail bar is also available to all guests.

Dining

Breakfast at the Distillery | Included in Your Stay | 8am – 10am

After a sound night’s sleep, sit back and enjoy breakfast served in our restaurant. A choice of hot and cold breakfast options, freshly prepared with seasonal local produce are on offer.

Dinner & Bar Snacks

The Borodale House Restaurant, located within Isle of Raasay Distillery, is available both to our overnight whisky hotel guests and serves evening meals.

A range of small and large plates specials are also served throughout the day in our tasting bar and outdoor areas.

Plan Your Journey

Getting to the Isle of Raasay is easier than you might think.

On the Isle of Skye, continue your journey to Sconser Ferry Terminal. Here, step aboard the CalMac ferry and enjoy a scenic 25-minute sailing across to Raasay.

Once you reach the Isle of Raasay, the distillery is less than half a mile from the pier and it is well-placed for exploring the island’s breathtaking natural beauty and historic sites, including the iconic Dun Caan mountain, Brochel Castle and enigmatic Calum’s Road.
